The Choptank Tolomato Legacy Project

Centreville Wharf Mural
We are currently creating a 4’ x 10’ mural featuring the Centreville, MD Wharf, a vital link in the Eastern Shore economy throughout the colonial period into the 1950’s. The painting is being created by members of the Crossroads Community, a behavioral mental health organization based in Centreville, MD as part of our visiting artist program. During the painting process the participants have been discussing their own family history in the local seafood harvesting, maritime transportation and Tidewater agricultural industries. This mural will be installed at the
Crossroads Community Center in Centreville, MD in 2023.
