The Choptank Tolomato Legacy Project
Centreville Wharf Mural
This 4’ x 10’ mural features the Centreville, MD Wharf, a vital link in the Eastern Shore economy throughout the colonial period into the 1950’s.
The painting was created by members of the Crossroads Community,
a behavioral mental health organization based in Centreville, MD
as part of our artist in residence program.
During the painting process the participants have been discussing their own family histories in the local seafood harvesting, maritime transportation and Tidewater agricultural industries. This mural is installed at the
Crossroads Community Center in Centreville, MD in 2023.
