North East Florida Community Projects

In 2025 The Choptank Tolomato Legacy Project partnered with schools, nonprofits, and community organizations in St. Johns & Putnam Counties, Florida to create collaborative public murals celebrating local history, culture, and the environment. These collaborations will continue and grow in 2027!

Rather than watching an artist paint, participants helped to create the artwork themselves. Our projects engage students, families, people in recovery, neurodivergent adults, and community members of all ages in a shared creative experience that builds pride, connection, and a sense of place.Each mural is designed to become a lasting public artwork and a reflection of the community that created it.
